The story
"Every Sunday, Dad would take over the kitchen, switch on old Malayalam songs, and slow-cook mutton for hours. We'd hover around the pot fighting over who gets the last piece of bone marrow."

Ingredients
- •750g mutton, bone-in
- •3 onions, finely sliced
- •2 tomatoes, chopped
- •Ginger-garlic paste, 2 tbsp
- •Garam masala, chilli, turmeric, coriander powder
- •Coconut oil, curry leaves
Method
- 1Marinate mutton with ginger-garlic, turmeric and salt for 30 mins.
- 2Brown onions deeply in coconut oil.
- 3Add spices, then mutton; sear for 10 minutes.
- 4Pressure cook with water until tender.
- 5Reduce gravy on low flame until oil rises. Finish with curry leaves.
